By Car: 2.5 hours, taking the Moscow-Kiev Highway. Take the Kaluga exit, turn left and drive 16 Km to Kaluga. After turning off the main Moscow-Kiev road (to the left, at 174 km.), You will go 16 kms. in the direction of Tula. Then you arrive at Kaluga. You will cross the lake and turn to the left (up the hill) for the city.You will go up through Gagarin street and turn to the left at the first crossing onto Korolev street. Continue up this street and you will reach our museum.
By Train: From the Kievsky Railway Staion in Moscow, take any train in the direction of Kiev. Get off at the "Kaluga-II" station. A one way ticket is about US$10. You can also take the electric train from the same station to the "Kaluga-I" station.
By Bus: Take the Shuttle Bus Moscow-Kaluga-Moscow from the Kievsky Railway Station to the "Kaluga-I" station. These busses run all day, but there is no night service. One way tickets are about $US5. In Kaluga, get off at the bus stop "School #6", then walk 5 minutes along Korolev St. to the Museum.
From the train stations to the Museum:
From the "Kaluga-I" Railway station: take trolleybus #1 to the last stop at "Tsiolkovsky Park". The Museum is on the park.
From the "Kaluga-II" Railway station: This station is 10 Km from the city. You can either take Bus #10, or the city shuttle bus to bus stop "School #6", then walk 5 minutes along Korolev St. to the Museum. You can also take a taxi, costing about US$6.
Hotels:
There are several hotels in Kaluga: "Priokskaya", "Kaluga", "Oka". The best one is "Priokskaya". They have the same prices - about US$45 a day.
