Welcome to the

Konstantin E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics

"Humanity will not remain on the Earth forever, but in the pursuit of light and space will at first timidly penetrate beyond the limits of the atmosphere, and then will conquer all the space around the Sun." (Tsiolkovsky-August 12,1911. From a letter).

Dear friends! We welcome you to visit the home page of our museum. It was the very first museum of the history of space exploration. It was opened in 1967 in Kaluga city, where the great Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, the founder of theoretical cosmonautics, lived for 43 years. In this very city he wrote his famous manuscripts, and published his main books about space exploration theory. Visiting our city, you will see it's old streets and beautiful parks, you will see the Memorial House Museum of Tsiolkovsky and visit his tomb. At the Space History Museum you will visit the exhibits of the history of space flight, including the main space missions of the USSR, Russia, the USA and other countries. We are waiting for you and will be very glad to meet you here.
