"We are living the life of space more than the life of the Earth, because space is infinitely more important than the Earth with its volume, mass and time". (Tsiolkovsky-The Cause of Space. Kaluga, 1925, p.9).
This web site was designed and created by:
with the invaluable assistance of Dr. Vladimir V. Lytkin, Scientific Director of the museum.
The idea of creating a web site for the museum was first developed at the International Space University, where Dr. Madry and Dr. Lytkin are both on the faculty of the ISU summer session program. The text and graphics of the museum and collections were provided by Dr. Lytkin. The Web page was designed and created by Dr. Mady while he was at Rutgers University. Rutgers graduate student Bob Wiencek scanned many of the photos. Special thanks to Dr. Ben Finney of the University of Hawaii for additional information and bibliographical citations.
This web site is maintained by Informatics International, Inc. in honor of a great man, and as a public service for the museum. It is hoped that together, through this web site, we can make the world more aware of the extraordinary life and work of Tsiolkovsky, and to make the museum and it's collection better known around the world.
All photographs are the property of the museum and are copyrighted. Permission to use them for educational and non-profit use is granted if properly credited to the Museum. For other commercial uses, please contact the museum.
Please send any comments, links, or suggestions to Dr. Madry at the address above, or to Dr. Lytkin at the Museum.
