Mountain Gorilla Protection: A Geomatics Approach

"Gorillas in the data base"

Movies!
Once we created the 3-D overlays, we could process the data into movies showing the region as if you were flying over it. This is a complex process that utilizes the DEM and an image and complex software to plan the flight line, altitude, direction of flight, etc.

Be advised that these are very large files and may take a long time to load across the net using a modem, but they give an excellent sense of the topography of the region, and there are no clouds!

Quicktime movie-fly through with radar imagery.
