Future Directions

So much to do , so little time in France!

New project activites are centered on several areas:

Visualization work continues, with the development of techniques to overlay GIS data onto QTVR files. This will provide a very important capability for the project

These two images show a QTVR color view taken from the outer rampart of Mont Dardon at right, and a 3-D view of data from the GIS (ancient roads) shown from the same position.
 
 
New satellite imagery analysis- acquisition and processing of Landsat 7 imagery
 
Continued review of the existing archival aerial photos
 
 
Continued review of the Cassini maps and their contents, including some analysis of the spatial distribution of the grain many grist mills in the region
