The Roadway that Transported Goods and Travelers Up to Bibracte

Once we pass through the gates into the Oppida, we follow this the ancient roadway leading up the mountain from the museum. Artisan workshops that produced a variety of products were located here.

These old Beech trees were planted and bent (intentionally) in the 1800s. They line the now sunken ancient access road.
