Welcome to the museum. We are now at the entrance of the main gallery top floor. The two images on the wall are of Jacques-Gabriel Bulliot (1817-1902) and his nephew, Joseph Dechelette (1862-1914), whose archaeological work proved that this was indeed the ancient city of Bibracte. It was long thought that the city of Autun, some 25 km from here, was Bibracte.
This area of the museum contains various display cases with coins and artifacts from excavations of Bibracte.
